3. Use of A36 steel plate
This standard applies to riveted, bolted and welded structures for bridges and buildings, as well as structural steel quality carbon steel sections, plates and bars for general purposes. The yield of A36 steel plate is about 240MP, and its yield value will decrease with the increase of material thickness. Due to moderate carbon content, comprehensive performance is good, strength, plasticity and welding properties are well matched, and it is the most widely used.
4. Impact test of A36 steel plate
Charpy V-notch specimens were used for the impact toughness test. The impact toughness index is Akv. For the above-mentioned grades B, C, and D, under their respective different temperature requirements, Akv≥27J is required. At different impact temperatures, ASTMA36 belongs to the American standard carbon structural plate, which implements the standard ASTM A36/A36M-03a.

A36 is a sheet and profile, which is widely used in structures such as brackets and feet. Suitable for riveted, bolted and welded structures for bridges and buildings, as well as structural steel quality carbon steel sections, plates and bars for general purposes.
